Cortecchia, Monkey Manners 2020
Monkey Manners is a red wine specially made from Sangiovese grapes that are late harvested in October and 60 days dry in ventilated places then malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tank without oak treatment. That’s why the ABV can reach 16%, not a fortified wine.
This wine is perfectly balanced and harmonious, and it’s remarkable for its high coherency at all tasting stages.
Characteristics
Tasting Note:
This elegant full-bodied wine reveals a rich nose dominated by notes of ripe fruit cherry, pluma and figs confirmed on the palate by a lengthy finish. Smooth and well balanced texture between acidity and roundness.
Gastronomy:
Absolutely fantastic wine to pair with anything Italian, including pizza and pasta, tomato-based sauces, and all of those rustic garden herbs like black truffel. Also excellent with richer dishes such as braised lamb, veal ragu, duck conflit, cured sausages, and hard cheeses such as Parmesan.

Ageing method:
Maceration of the must for 8-10 days in contact with the skins. Fermentation takes place in a steel tank for 10 days which stage is followed by the malolactic. Refined in stainless steel tank without oak treatments.
