A spicy, floral, and chocolate note is found in this structured, bold wine on the palate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gastronomy:<\/strong><br \/>\nAs with most Bordeaux reds, this wine works incredibly well with intense and grilled red meats like beef, veal, and cheeses. Also delicious with dark chocolate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vineyards:<\/strong><br \/>\nTerrior: Limestone and clay-limestone soils.The 2016 vintage was marked by a very wet (400 mm) and mild winter giving a late but homogeneous bud burst. The particularly severe drought in summer (only 8 mm in August) gave rise to late veraison. This offers a very balanced vintage with a nice fat and beautiful tannins and a rare aromatic complex.<br \/>\nIt is difficult to follow on from a vintage as fantastic as 2015. Our 2016 vintage is also one of our best vintages of the beginning of the 21st century.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ageing method:<\/strong><br \/>\nAged in oak barrels for one year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Award:<\/strong><br \/>\nBordeaux Sup\u00e9rieur 2016 vintage was awarded: Gold medal at the Lyon Internation Wine Competition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>While the wine is a typical blend of Bordeaux varieties, the wine falls in a simpler price-range and offers exceptional value for money.
